Paintings, up-cycled table designs and Sculptures by Scott and Linda Hartman
Scott, a watercolor and acrylic painter, was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania. He has lived on Long Island (Sayville, New York) for the past 36 years. Many of the images found in Scott's work reflect his past rural upbringing. He is inspired by the work of Andrew Wyeth, another artist from Pennsylvania as well as Jamie Wyeth.
Scott has shown his works in various galleries and exhibits throughout Long Island. His painting, Waiting, is part of the Smithsonian collection in Washington D.C. He also offers a number of his original works in lithographs. Recently, Scott has created a number of "up-scaled" wood and metal tables.
Linda, an accomplished acrylic painter and sculptor, was born and raised on Long Island. She currently lives in Sayville, New York.
Linda is currently working on a new series of fiber landscapes . The natural fibers and found natural objects used in the fiber landscapes are meant to reflect various environments that Linda finds inspiring. She is also working on a new series of acrylic paintings which focus on the sky of the environment . Both series compliment each other and she looks forward to exhibiting these artworks in galleries throughout the East Coast as well as a variety of outdoor shows .
